TOURNAMENT OPERATION
BRACKETS ARE LISTED BELOW
*first-round matches have begun and will continue through March at nightly venues. If
two players play at the same venue(s) on a regular basis, they will agree on a night to hold the matchup. If two players
are from different sides of town, the players will either agree to travel to a venue on one side or the other, or meet in
the middle (Winter Garden/Ocoee).
*Once a match is scheduled, a player must give 24 hours notice to change the
match (through Jim or Brian). If a player does not provide enough notification to change a match and is not able to
show up, a chip penalty will be awarded to the other player (see below), and the match will be re-scheduled. If a player
does not show up for a second match, the other player will automatically advance to the second-round.
*All players who advance to the second round will return
for the remainder of the tournament on Saturday, April 3rd. We should have the venue confirmed this week. This
is NCAA Final Four Saturday. At the conclusion of the tournament, players will have the option to stay and watch the
games and participate in a viewing party.
*Once the NCAA Field is announced (Sunday, March 14th), all players (including those
eliminated in the first round) will randomly draw a basketball team. If their team wins the NCAA Tournament, they will
receive a prize (yet to be determined). If the player wins the Madness in March tournament AND their basketball team
wins the NCAA Tournament, they will receive a bonus prize (yet to be determined). Check back for updates on the extra
prizes.
